Pontrilas Group Packaging (PGP) manufactures an extensive range of products. These vary from heavy duty cases and skids used in the metals industry to the high volume pallets and top frames used by businesses in general. PGP's aim is to provide customers with the right product, at the right price, at the right time. In order to do this we need to guarantee the following:
Source of Supply
As well as having one of the largest and most modern sawmills in the UK, Pontrilas also imports pre-cut pallet sets from all over the world.
Manufacturing Capacity
PGP operates a two shift system using both hand-gun and four fully automated pallet production lines manufacturing 40,000 pallets per week. In addition to pallets PGP produces an extensive range of plywood cases, hardwood stillages and potato boxes. We also have manufacturing units at Hereford and St Helens.
PGP also has the capability to produce bespoke timber and metal packaging products to customer demand.
Sales
Our sales staff have years of experience in advising companies on the pallet and case design best suited to their needs. They are always available to visit your site or provide information by phone or email.
Storage Facilities
PGP is located on a 16 acre site, 1 mile from the M4. We have extensive indoor and outdoor storage areas. In addition, there are two drying rooms on site to ensure the moisture content is as specified by the customer.
Stock Holding
Many companies have limited storage and are often pressed by Insurance to minimise stock on site. Sudden surge in demand can therefore create problems. PGP like to work in partnership with their customers, holding stock levels of their pallets or cases to ensure a delivery is only a road journey away.
Timber Treatment>
In addition to the Tanalith Treatment Plant, Pontrilas have 5 modern kilns providing kiln-dried and heat treated timber. PGP are licensed by the Forestry Commission to manufacture heat treated pallets and also have another kiln for this purpose on the Llanelli site.
